Progress toward Holland’s future has continued this year as the City of Holland has been collaborating with consultants to solicit qualifications, and now proposals for development. The City received three RFQ responses this summer, which City Council approved to continue into the development proposal phase in August. A brief timeline of progress and links are available below:
|May 5, 2021
|Working with Consultants FB Friedman Development Advisors and Coldwell Banker Woodland Schmidt, the City issued a Request for Qualifications to regional developers:
|Aug 25, 2021
|After receiving the RFQ responses at the end of June and with time for Councilmembers to review, City Council conducted a study session to review the submissions.
|Aug 30, 2021
|With all three respondents to the RFQ fulfilling the necessary requirements, the City has issued an RFP to the three firms for development proposals.
Proposals for the project are due in January, 2022, and we are excited to see how each fits with the vision and guiding principles created by our community.
