This past Saturday, Waterfront Holland held an open house event at the Herrick District Library. Held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., more than 100 members of the local community came out to share their thoughts about the future of the Holland waterfront.
With maps of the waterfront, a timeline of the project and other educational materials, the event served as an educational event and another opportunity for the community to share their thoughts about the project that will shape the city for generations to come.
The open house event also featured an interactive children’s area with markers and paper that allowed children in the community to share their ideas and visions for the waterfront as well!
In total we received 76 ideas, 34 completed surveys and 13 chalkboard drawings. Thank you to everyone who came out and shared their thoughts and ideas!
